Leon Perwarchuk Printmaker

Leon is a retired educator with a degree in Fine Arts. He began his career teaching Art and prior to his retirement had spent over twenty five years teaching Advertising Art and Graphic Design.

Leon's recent work as a carver and his earlier experiences with printmaking, both as a teacher and as an artist, has led him to the art of the carved wood block and the woodblock print, a medium of expression which has endured and evolved since man, with a simple handprint, made his mark on the rock wall of a cave.
